Hello
Just recently purchased ViaCAD Pro 9 and have issues with PNG import and scale
I am running it on Mac with latest OS and updates.

When I import the image, it seems like it is wrongly sized. The red border is very small and just show a fraction of the image.
Scaling does not help because that also scales the Red border.

Here is the strange part.

I first installed my ViaCAD Pro 9 on my Macbook Air that I mostly use. The PNG import works just fine on that. NOTE! It works on this machine.

Then I found out I wanted to have the application on my MacBook Pro Retina instead to get a larger desktop to draw on.
That is when I saw the issue.

So here is the scenario:

1. A fully working project on my MacBook Air is saved. The PNG image shows perfeclty and scales perfectly with the view.
2. I load the working file on my MacBook Pro Retina. The boundaries of the image is correct, but scaling/dpi of the image is off the chart, so I only see 1% of the image upper left corner.

I have tried different Imagesizes, different type of images (JPG, PNG, BMP). I get same issue.

Can this be a bug?

SOLUTION: Latest build of the application from tech support

I fixed several issues importing PNG/BMP/JPG files on retina screens.

What version of ViaCAD do you have?

I use Version 9.0.0 (Build 1109)
The same version is tested on both macs.

Hello Marton

Contact tech support and tell them your 1109 build does not support importing images on a retina machine (per Tim Olson). They will send you build 1143 which should correct the retina issue.

http://support.encore.co...frm.aspx?product_id=2820

If you have an image inside your file, you will need to delete it and re-import with the newer build.

Apple threw us developers a curveball with their APIs on retina screens. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I can confirm that build 1144 solves this issue!
