Apparently today. As yesterday when I was checking on things it was still on v7. Though cadsoft solutions still has only v7 on their website for sale which means those of us in the UK may have to wait a bit to get a copy for ourselves.

I hope it is build 1017 release edition as the beta testing we have been doing was looking very promising as we where going along.

To me - there should be one Shark and one ViaCAD variant

What a horrific waste of developer's energy preparing all these variants !

It is the user who pays the price in lost productivity - an issue which has been aired regularly since these product's inception !

Please please please ... QUALITY FIRST !

Interestingly, there is no upgrade info for it, as is there no trial link, either. Well, at least not hours ago when i looked.

Do I dare upgrade from ViaCAD 2d/3d v8 to pro?
(My 2d/3d build is 984)
No matter how many times I've asked, I have never been given links to patches/updates.

Is Pro more reliable then 2d/3d?
What build number is V8 Pro?

With upgrade option and coupon its just under $100.

In process of upgrading. Cadsoftsolutions does not yet have the new release and Encore is allowing those of us in the UK to purchase at the moment. This is subject to change as we all know.

Blowlamp thanks for the coupon code as it makes the upgrade option well within the budget which a very big help. I will report back on how it is running and if it is truly build 1017 with the fixes that we beta testers had been pointing out.

I seriously hope so as it will make this my main tool and allow a lot of advancement in some projects (I don't do job projects on the beta's as it doesn't seem honest).

PS update: it looks to be 1016 from the download stream. Now is it 1016 with some of the bugs we found or fixed and 1017 under the 1016 number. Will find out shortly.

I'm currently downloading v8 Pro as I type this...
With the coupon, I can get $65 worth out of the upgrade!
(But still hope the errors I used to get are gone!)
