Best way to import file from Solidworks

Most of my friends use PC's with Solidworks. I chose ViaCAD and love it, but I am running into a problem when they bring over their sldprt files. How do I convert these in order to import them in ViaCAD?

I need to know how to take a physical .SLDPRT file and import it into ViaCad Pro without having to use Solidworks to export it. Are there other programs out there that will do this conversion for me? Will ViaCad do this if renamed, etc.?
