For example, I select the inside wall command and start drawing inside walls and it is giving me inside dimensions, then I draw on a 45 degree angle now the dimension is on the outside. How do I get Shark FX to dimension the angle from the inside like all the other dimensions are? Thank you.

hi,
notice, the side of dimension depends on the direction a wall is drawn. try drawing the wall in a clockwise direction vs. counterclockwise direction to see the result.
in the tutorials of viacad/shark there can be found a useful video about 2d architectural tools (menu help->tutorials).

If you go to my profile and look in my albums I have attached an image to better explain my problem. Also, the tutorials don't really cover anything other than straight walls. Everything is good until I do the one 45 angle wall on the left, when it measures the outside instead of the inside. Thank you

If you click on "no cover" it should go to the image. I could change the dimension in inspector but for a program worth over $2,000 I think there would be a no hassle way to draw an inside 45 degree wall.

I think you meant 45 degree wall dimension. In the Options buttons, you can click auto dimension. It will do the 45 degree dimension according to clockwise or counterclockwise dimension as you draw the walls. I don't think that's covered on the video. It will only do dimensions in the center portion or edge portion of the wall. The way that is on the album will need to be dragged by rotating the gripper 45 degrees to drag it to either side of the wall.

Could you explain your last sentence a bit more. Like what you meant by rotating the gripper? Thank you.

Under the gripper settings you can put it anywhere or rotate it to your desired location by attaching it to user positioned. You basically rotate it with the handle when you first change it to user positioned. You can set it to any degree by typing it on top to be more accurate. Once changed, then you select the dimension and drag it along the 45 degree angle to any side.
Hope this helps.

I emailed you a fx file of a room to draw which should take a minute but let me know if you run into the same problems I did. Thank you.
