I got this error repeatedly after playing around with imported contours but now I just drew a few rectangles and added some radii and holes... is there any chance to get a bit more info ? I mean it would be nice if Viacad would select the involved parts or have them blink / highlight or so. Or is there a "go fix it and don't bother me " function that I overlooked ? Anything that saves me from manually checking every object... thx Jo

The trick to this one is to project your outline onto a plane.

This is the most common mistake. It is best to draw on a plane enabled under snaps. The other thing that was advised is to project all lines into the xy plane for instance especially if the contours or lines were imported. Never know if the imported lines are true xy plane-meaning z=0 for all end points. Sometimes it might be z=.001 off which gives that error. You have to live with it. It becomes a norm to recheck or redraw it with plane enabled when you get that error. I rarely get that error and I've been using this software about 5 years but it does happen.
