Thanks: 1 times
I am trying to draw an aircraft propeller with all its twists and changing profiles. I need to make the drawing so it can be exported to a CAM program for use on a CNC router table. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Larry
My understanding is that the blade of a propeller is similar to a wing with additional pitch and chord thickness distributed across the length of the blade.
Below is a URL that has some basic considerations for a propeller plus a link to a CLARK Y airfoil in DWG format.
http://www.nmine.com/propeller.htm Once you create and position your airfoils you could use the skin tool to create the surfaces.
If the ClarkY does not work, a fantastic source for airfoils is :
http://m-selig.ae.illinois.edu/ads/coord_database.html Once you complete the blade portion I think you would need to design a hub and tip cap.
