Newbie question: Adding more (many?) keyboard shortcuts

Hi all - with my previous (small) CAD software, almost all functions were also assigned to keys, which I like very much. With ViaCAD, I'd like to assign keys to important functions, e.g., I have added the space key to "Selection - Select Tool". Also, "y" (which is conveniently near the left shift key on my German keyboard) is now assigned to "Window - Inspector Attributes". But I do have two questions: a) It does not seem to be possible to close the inspector via the keyboard - neither is there an assignable button on that window, nor is there some standard behavior like "esc" or "enter" for it (which I would have expected ...). b) How is it possible to assign ctrl-... and shift-... combinations as keys? Usually, programs either allow one to enter the key combination (e.g. press ctrl-y), or they have some sort of syntax for the modifiers (e.g., one writes ^y for ctrl-y). Many thanks for help! Harald M.

>>> It does not seem to be possible to close the inspector via the keyboard Try Short Cut Manager: Window : Inspector Attributes. Assigning a key will toggle the Inspector dialog on/off Tim

Thank you (I feel a little bit foolish I didn't try that ...). However, I just found that when opening the inspector with a keyboard shortcut, the focus seems to be lost, so it is not possible to "tab" through the input fields ... so, there's still a mouse click necessary. One the whole, it seems that ViaCAD 9 has not been tested through with "keyboarders" like me in mind - failings like that missing focus or missing hot keys (Alt-L, Alt_A, ... in Windows) seem to indicate that you assume mouse-only usage, whereas I like very much combined keyboard+mouse interaction (that's why I, being right-handed, use a left-handed mouse, so I can easily do keyboard work with my right hand, especially on the numerical keypad that is on the right side of any keyboard I know). Maybe you could consider "complete keyboard walkthroughs" (i.e., entry where the mouse works only on the graphical part of the UI, whereas all navigation through tabs and entry fields works solely via keyboard) at least for selected important walkthroughs (especially with the inspector!) for some future version. Thx for help! Harald M.
