If I exit viacad, I don't want to have to reboot to be able to open it again like I do now. Obviously it does not leave memory cleanly and rebooting simply so I can use it again is a flaw in the system.

Hi jfc

What operating system are you using? Right click on the ViaCAD icon and goto properties then goto compatibility tab and check the run as windows xp.

I'm running Vista. Thanks for the input, but that still did not fix the issue.

do you get any error message when you close ViaCAD? Or what happens when you try to restart?

nothing happens except the hourglass appears breifly before, nothing....

when you changed the properties in the icon, did you hit apply before closing the box? I am running Vista and ViaCAD 2d v5 and have not seen an issue with open close.
