It seems as though once text is typed into a text box the size of that box cannot be changed.

I find that when I change the text size inside the box, it will foul up the line breaks. If I could adjust the size of the text box that would be an easy fix.

Mac OS, ViaCAD 2D, V6

Hi XL5

It's not as clear as it should be - but if you select your text (that's in a text box) and press CTRL D (or Pasta D) ... you'll see 2 points - these are the diagonal extents of the text box - which can then be adjusted as per any box

This could be clearer - perhaps by allowing a text box size (X x Y) input in the topbar ... or perhaps by showing a border by default - which you can then turn off in the Inspector .. other suggestions welcome

Thanks for helping us here in the colonies.

Command D (Mac OS) does indeed bring up the two points that you mentioned. However, when I move those points the size of the text box does not change. The text box simply moves around the drawing retaining its original size.

I think ViaCAD hates me.

Each line of text has a separate textbox. Changing the text size does not change the leading between lines, that has top be done manually.

Highlight just one of the points and drag it to where you want, to resize the box.

I'd also like to see - temporarily or permanently - the rectangle (and its size) defined by those points. e.g. In order to align a series of boxed text items they first need to be the same size - vertically, horizontally or both. A way to automatically resize the box to the text inside would be handy as well.
