What is the best practice to create a "sheet drawing" of a 2D drawing? Should I draw the part in 2D and still use the Model to Sheet function? I like the ability to change the zoom in the view, but I cannot easily edit the drawing in the sheet view. Thoughts? Thanks

model to sheet uses viewport that allow to use scales, so, for me, the way should be done is to make a 3d model and use the viewport, if you want to create a 2d drawing, i thin is still better to draw on top view (or the 2d interface feauture), and then select the drawing and use the model to sheet function to be able to scale the draw and then dimension the draw, make sure to have the "2d objects in draw" enable on the viewport settings....WAIT!
UPS, I just discover a bug on this, the original curves are displayed wiht the scaled ones wen you select the viewport, see the attached pict., this does not happen with solids, just curves
Still, for me, the right way is to use the viewports

Hi wcorbit Try making a template in model and draw a rectangle the size of the sheet you'll be printing on. And place your object within. If your objects won't fit in that rectangle because that objects are large draw a rectangle 8 1/2 x 11 for example, and scale it up using the scale tool so the objects fit within the box. In the page layout you can make thing fit and scale so the prints look correct. Chuck
