You need to use NetFabb to repair the STL. It's a free download

Be sure to change the resolution to precise facets and verify the model after wards.

You shouldn't have to go to another software to repair.

That is not the experience of very many people who produce STL files for RP work. The repair software exists because exactly because STL exporters cannot be relied on to produce watertight manifold files.

I would start by searching for resolution or verify to understand it.

I do that before I convert. I never had problems with watertight or missing facets. I have had problems with the resolution especially for jewelry work where the file is short. You can tell of the quality when the files become huge.

Select your solid >
Go to Edit menu > Change resolution
> super fine + precise facets

Actually doing this changes the default values in the stl export dialog.
Even with a coarse resolution you can manually change the parameters and your export will be just the same.

Over the last years I exported hundreds of Stl files with shark without any complaint from my sla supplier (I don't think he does repair).

But I must admit the type of defect you show is familiar to me. It happens when there are small defects in the solid surface...
