Hi All
I was testing the rendering & animation tools of Shark this weekend and made a movie. The F22 model is from GrabCAD, a great source of models.

Did the material/decal scheme come with the model? The shifting sheen, shadows and reflections on the skin and canopy are eye-catching.

I thought the way the designer did that was interesting. The model came across as one solid where they applied different colors for some of the faces. Not long ago I added the ability to capture color per face from STEP.

The "decals" are actually surface cutouts (imprints) with different color.

I read the model in, then added a glass material to the canopy faces, added an HDRI to get the lighting and reflections, and created a path. It really went quite fast to set up.

However, it took all night to generate the movie.

I've been testing the recently added translators using models from GrabCAD. They have a large variety of complex models in SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Inventor, ProE, x_t, etc formats.
