Ok, I'm stumped. How do I go back to the 3D view from a model to sheet view?

Model to sheet is just stored on a separate layer from your 3D models. When you use this function, a new layer is created and at the same time de-activates the layers where you have been working. Go to your upper menu and choose Window>Concept Explorer. Once Concept Explorer opens, select the Layers tab. There, you will see that your active layer will be Sheet View 1 (or something similar). Turn that layer off and then turn back on the layer where your 3D models reside.
