This demonstration shows some of the tools that could be used to model a snowboard. Additionally, it provides an example workflow using ViaCAD Pro that involves tracing an image, curve construction and manipulation, surfaces, and solids.

Tim,
I for one thank you for the demo video, not that I’m trying for a snowboard but as I watched a light almost clicked on. As one who is new to this and also to this forum, I almost feel I would benefit by reading more of the posts, but the demo video greatly brings the point home faster and easier. Is there a repository or library index for the videos? Kind of a go here first newbie place?

Tim,

When repeating this steps from your video, most of the time I am getting "Invalid geometry, unable to create arc" message.

Here are the steps:

1. Choose "Three points arc" tool
2. Hold Option key and click at Quadrant of first circle
3. Click construction point created between circles (don't hold Option key)
4. Hold Option key and click at Quadrant of second circle

I thought I ordered the upgrade from VC Pro 5 to VC Pro 7. When I got the disc for VC6, I was told by Encore Support that Pro 7 wasn't released yet.

Now I'm confused.

Pro 7 is still in beta testing stage. It hasn't been released publicly yet.

ViaCAD Pro v7 has not been released yet. I would highly recommend v7 over v6 at this point. Private email me ([email protected]).
