Hello @ all,

this is my first post here, so a small introduction and please, excuse my funny English because I'm a German.

I own a one-man-workshop for designing and producing mechanical parts of all kind. Since a long time I design my parts traditionally in 3-view manner on a 2D CAD. But customers ask always: "... and how looks that in reality??". Additionally I want in future to do some work in CNC. So there it is a must to have a 3D CAD.
I try a lot of different 3d cad programs. Big-name tryals like Autocad as well as freeware and shareware. But I'm not happy with all.
Few days ago I found at my local electronic parts shop "ViaCAD 2D3D v5". I read the promotion text and think "sounds not bad". Price was reasonable and so I bought it.
At home I install it at once, listen to the tutorials, doing the exercises in the tutorials and was familiar with this program in a short time and i like it very well. Has now update to version 8, particularly because the grippers and the push/pull modeling which had sound interesting.
And: the more I work with ViaCAD3D, the more I like it. It is an easy to learn, easy to use, but very powerful tool for drafting.

But now BTT and my problem:
Use ViaCad3D v8.0.0 built 984.
Had finished my first complete sketch and want to printout it, but get only a very(!!!!) funny  result.

Screen shoot of what I had constructed:

The result after printing
http://forum.punchcad.com/attac...=4029&stc=1&d=1315744514
The colors were smeared all over the sketch.
This happen exactly with the same result at 2 different printers and with 2 different PDF generators (I have also attached the PDF's).

Hope you have any suggestions where the Problem is, inside the computer or in front of :D

best wishes from Germany
Harald

Hello,

since there was no solution for the described problem  I upgrade to ViaCad Pro V7 which solve this "funny" printouts. Seems to be I'm the only user on the world with this problem

Additionally now I have the very impressive results of the photo render engine.
But I lost the snap function of the grippers and I lost the push-pull function. :(

greetings,
Harald
