While trying to get my lines appropriately proportional for an A sheet patent drawing, I noticed what you see is not what you get. Meaning, lines on screen vs. printing. Check out the screen capture of a line weight sampler I made, on screen the 2 pixels looks thicker the .020 line, but if you print out the sampler you'll see these two are not even close.

I actually measured these line at 5X magnification to .001 of an inch, the bottom row lines position are relative to the thickness of the lines in the above rows.

Its sometimes better to just do what you've done to know what you will actually get on your prints than rely on the monitors representation.

Hi P

Printing
Change all your lines to a set value not pixel,
if you print 1:1 scale the lines are the value they are set to lines .015" thick print .015"

if you print a drawing say 1/2 size 1:2 then a .010" thick line becomes .005" on the printed paper

Viewing on screen

there are three pen weight settings in the preferences
1. weights off lines stay a minimal thickness regardless of zoom level
2. display as printed - shows actual printed output
3. display view scaled - modifies as you zoom in and out on geometry.
