Alright I know there is a model to sheet function but is there a sheet to model? Along the same lines when I could not foresee a solution I made a general profile of my project and figured I could just use the lathe tool however I get an error saying that there are over lapping curves. I verified that there are none so what am I doing wrong.

On your profile
there is an unwanted
element - a 'control point spline' ... which has zero length
(Tim perhaps you could look at why this is possible - and why the reporting of this spline in not very helpful)
If you fence-select (left to right)
across this exact corner (shown),
you will see that the edit object window reports
'3' elements in it's top bar - instead of the 2 you would expect.
If you delete the extra element, you can then
make a nice lathed object
Hope that helps

(Tim perhaps you could look at why this is possible - and why the reporting of this spline in not very helpful) I modified the lathe, extrude (all profile based solids) to ignore zero length curves in the next build 990. Tim

Did you import the profiles using another file format? If so which format did you use?
Thanks!
Tim

To paraphrase Caprica 6: "We have GOT to clone your brain patterns", but we've GOT to clone Tim. Imagine if there were 6 or 7 of him working like Data when he moved his fingers along the console at near-light speeds, hehehe
