What was your approach? Did you create surfaces from curves, then stitch and do feature operations?

I made main surfaces then split and filled. The filled (feature) surfaces I made with the sweeps/net to see what results I could get. I did make some mistakes, so used the undo quite a few times.

I found bit more time for this.

Have made the board and the queen, just the king to do.

I have not decided on what material to use for the pieces yet, but have made a quick test render to show where I am.
