Err....really?? When was the last time you tried using this tool?? You get no feedback whatsoever using this in the latest beta, with the method you describe.

edit- lets put it this way, this tool doesn't behave the way you expect it to. It does draw a spline, but only when you have deselected your path. What good is that?

I agree.

I would expect spline to work similar to the 3 point arc, whereas on the 3 point arc the last point does give realtime feeback and shows the curve change as you move the mouse pointer before you actually click that point.

Have to agree here .. spline tools are not nice in Shark

and you need nice splines to make nice surfaces

We need feedback, lines with a thickness, point graphics (not just 4 pixels stuck together) and anti-aliasing

See Pages .. or SolidWorks

Not quite.

When drawing (for example) a control point spline, you have to draw the first 3 points before the curve is drawn, you then move the cursor but there is no actual feedback in the change that will be made to the actual curve, not until you actually click the next point.
For realtime feedback I would expect the curve to follow the cursor point, so it gives you feedback of the curve before you commit to the point being made, not given a result after the point is place.

I totally agree, this should be visible when sketching the curve so that the user can see what they are doing....which helps I find :D

I would like to see this at least on interpolate spline if not both spline tools, also can we have the option for 'edit points' OR 'control points' on an interp spline...currently only 'edit points' is shown (until trimmed)

BIG thx

Apple Pages/ iWork.... What an app! I've completely dumped Word now :D (sorry for the OT).

But yes, the ease of use in that Pages spline tool- it's just how it should work imo, especially as Shark excels at spline surfacing :D
