today i "walked into" an application called [COLOR="Sienna"]3dpaintbrush[/COLOR]
it is een app. that makes sort of a render of your models...sort of;-)
anyway it does import .iges (and many other formats) files very well
so a nice way to present a viacad model perhaps?
for the poor people amongst us , that can not buy Shark(Fx) right
away;-)

P.S...ohh..i see not all .iges files are imported well, some parts are missing
after bringing them in 3dpaintbrush
have to investigate this a bit more, hmmmmm..to bad..
btw...it costs 99 dollars(introduction price)
i love that kind of prices;-)

i forgot to think about all the Mac users out there;-)
ohhhh..well it is a nice application ...but it is maybe not THAT nice;-)

i am gonna test it some more though,
...i have a two week evaluation key..
so i am gonna try-out some different file formats .
For quick presentation of a model it is a fine program to use i think.
where i missed some "bodyparts" with the export in .iges format.
The dxf format did well in that area. well i try some more.
maybe some of the pc-users will find it of use;-)
