For some reason, when I now open Viacad, the tool palette 'go to 2D' and 'go to 3D' are reversed. I.e., if I'm in 2D, the palette with say 'go to 2D' and if I click the top of the palette it switches to 3D and the palette changes to say 'go to 3D?????" Other than that, the menu items seem to change properly, but this seemed to just start happening. Formatting dimensions also doesn't seem to work properly. I set the format as stated in the tutorial: I select the dimension tool, and then set the format. Specifially, I'm choosing the ANSI Standard Layout. If I deselect the dimension tool and reselect it, the ANSI is still checked, however; when I place dimensions, it reverts back to something else -- under Layouts, a grayed-out "Non-standard" is checked. I can change the dimension layout after the fact, but something is obviously not right here. Also, the part I'm working on, was drawn in 3D and I'm dimensioning it in 2d (obviously). The part has several holes in it. One of them, will NOT take a radius dimension properly. When I place the dimension on the hole/arc, Viacad places the dimension at the 0,0,0 coordiinates?!?! There are eight other holes/arcs in the part and they all dimension fine. Any help on these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris

Okay, well I took care of the tool palette issue by trashing the preference files and restarting ViaCAD. Any ideas on the the other issues?!?!

Well, I'm back to the incorrect tool palette label again. Seems the prefrence files keep getting currupt for some reason. While this isn't that problematic, it is slightly offputting and at times confusing. Is it any one specific file? Let me know please, so that I don't have to always trash every pref file. Any ideas for the other issues please? Especially the origin problem with one circle / hole.

To repair the annotations on the tool bars that have swapped, you must swap the names of the actual bitmap images for the tool bars. Program files/Punch! Software/ViaCAD/Skins/Sys/Tools/24 also 32 There are two bitmap images TOOLHDR_3DTO2D-24 & TOOLHDR-2DTO3D-24 you must swap these names to correct the issue. Simply rename the image of the 3D to 2D -TOOLHDR-2DTO3D-24 and vise versa. Note: this must be done in both the 24 and 32 files
