If I make a torus and I rotate it or move it I no longer have a vertex to select it with. It becomes dead geometry. Also if I make a cone primitive and do the same I lose the vertex on the point. It seems to be a problem with the primitives in general. Chuck

I have also been suffering this for months. It even happens when I create a rectangular block and either move it a few times, mirror it, or option copy it. I reported the bug, but because it is not consistent it's still there, and I am scared to ever move anything and have it turn into a dumb solid, so I end up constantly checking and re-building.

I am not running the current beta, but anyone who is, and has this problem really should file an official bug report on the bug tracker that Tim has set up. Its this sort of bug in basic functionality that really shakes confidence in the product.

Once the primitives lose a vertex they won't multiple subtract using booleans subtract tool. Chuck
