I have created a custom model to sheet template in Viacad Pro, and I am trying to use the same template in Shark FX v7sp1, it is not working.

I first saved the template as a .vcp in the sharkv7sp1\templates\modelto sheet. That allowed me to select the template as an option when using model to sheet, which is fine. Clicked okay after selecting scale, and I now have nothing on my screen at all. Concept explorer shows a new layer created for the sheet view, but that layer is completely empty. Click 'edit'-'undo', and some of the template is visible, and clickable (lines, text), but still no objects show up in the concept explorer.

Then I tried opening the file in shark, which worked fine, and saving as an .sfx file to the templates\modeltosheet. Same problem.

I tried exporting the file as v7, v7sp1 but same problem.

I can open the file in Viacad 2d/3d, Viacad Pro, and Shark FX with no errors or problems, but can't get it to work as a template for model to sheet.

Is it the file, or me, or what ?

Thanks
Ryan

Hi Ryan

Try making the title block layer the default layer and resave template. I got it to work by making that change.
