2D scaling. Help needed (#2213)

Hi, my name is Norbert but in order not to confuse me, a newbie, with the other, very knowledgeable Norbert, I will sign Norbert M. I have a problem with differential 2D scaling .... Let's assume I am talking about a door of a kitchen cabinet to be processed by a CNC router. This door has decorative routing around the periphery and also has arched grooving to resemble a raised panel door. The dimension of this door is 500mm wide and 700mm high and the door panel as well as the routings are all on 1 (ViaCAD)layer. Let's also assume that this particular design can handle variatons in width (or height) without looking distorted. Now, apart from the standard 500 wide doors I need one or two doors of a slightly different width, say 457mm instead of the the standard 500mm. Rather than redesign the door from scratch I would like to be able to load the 500mm door, change the appropriate axis from 500mm to 457mm and send the dxf file to the machine control program. Suggestion(s) anyone?

Hi, Norbert Select the whole door --> pick scale tool --> change your drop down box at the top from uniform to differential and enter in the value 457/500 right in the x if that's the width direction or y whichever you are using do not hit enter. and leave the other axis as 1 if you do not want to scale that axis and then pick a point on the bottom left corner of the door and its should scale as you need.
