In Leopard .. V4 .. the properties dialog box has the wrong buttons

Are you using some weird buttons here ?

I'm not seeing any beach balling when rotating and panning. I am seeing the square buttons in the Properties dialog though, have enclosed screen grab for those not running Leopard.

All the best

I'm getting regular beachballing when my shaded model spins over the top border of the drawing window (V4 in Leopard)

Quick technical question: which install method did you use?
Most reports of leopard install seem to go better with Archive & Install.
I have the little apple box on the shelf right now until I hear more.
Thanks for taking the test drive for us. If things go worse for you I'll
give you a pretty guinea pig award.

>>Excessive beachball in Leopard with CU4 ?>>

Every time I rotate or pan my 200+ parts model I have 4-5 second beach-ball action. From time to time it turns to 30-40 seconds beach-ball action, but it is hard to find any pattern.
Things do not change when model is partially off-screen.

Hardware and software used:
G5 2.5Ghz dual, 4.5GB Ram, Mac OSX 10.5, CU4 SP3 Build 660
Intel iMac-20,2 | macOS Ventura 13.3.1 | SharkCAD 14 |

Thanks Mark !! Keep an eye out for me - but that sounds like regular behavior to me unfortunately.

Tem, Leopard is fine .. but if I were you, I'd just hang on a while longer while both Apple and Punch sort out a few minor issues. Yes, archive and install was good for me. Just repair permissions first !

Leopard has been available to developers for months .. I can't quite see why we'd be seeing any issues at all .. but this is the real world

Thanks for the reminder Jol.
I made a list of all the items needed to do a smooth (as can be) OS update on Mac's. Maybe I'll transcribe it someday from the old napkin that information currently resides on, but I like how it looks pinned to the wall with coffee stains on it, it is the only artwork I have put up on my in the garage-studio.
Cheers!

Anti Alias is totally non functional in Leopard (try it at your peril)

Whilst turning off the possibility of Anti Aliasing altogether in the code certainly fixes the problem ..

.. it means there is no longer any anti-aliasing :|
