Maxwell now has real time rendering - it's a very interesting and cool technology and has been a long time coming !

Lightwork also supports something comparable - it actually looks better as it doesn't appear to 'reconstruct' the render every time you change the view

This has to be the future - seeing your object rendered as you work on it. It seems most new computers are now powerful enough to handle it.

SolidWorks has gone some way to implement this - though if you're doing something complex, you'll probably turn it off. Just terrific for showing clients their product though !

It'd be nice to see Tim implement real time rendering from LightWork in Shark as we're already using the LightWork engine for rendering. Albeit with a rather unfriendly interface, it is in fact very powerful. LightWork even supply a GUI - why we don't use that - I will never know : (

Well - who'd have thought Lightworks was based in Yorkshire?
I always think of California for stuff like this! Good old Blighty :)

Jol, definitely any modern MCAD or Rendering Software will have very soon this real time rendering feature. solidThinking has for a year (since 8.0) this function! I think that Rhino has too!
