I have a Mustek Bear Paw scanner, that uses a paw motif for the layout of the buttons. Mustek trades in Germany, perhaps you ought to approach them or others with similar motifs. There are lawyers who'll offer their services for ambit claims like this, no fee unless they're successful, so they jump onto soft targets, who'll often capitulate rather than piss money away on defending what's a vexacious claim to begin with. Those "successes" are then cited as precedent when they launch suits against other companies, who do have money, for claimed infringements.

You know that this will backfire on Herr Wolfskin eventually. Less people will buy their product, knowing that they are corporate bullies. It's one reason I have never worn Nike. Actually Nike don't cater for my size anyway (14!!)
The JW logo has dots at the end of each pad tip. What I don't understand is why Wolfskin don't just say that it is an inbreach of their logo, if it is illustrated as such- then we can all be happy families?
Sack the Jack! I, personally, are for Berghaus! Long live Berghaus! :D:D

Some good news !! .. JW are getting a creaming in the German online media and blogging community .. so we're hoping their announcement on Monday will be somewhat more sympathetic towards the 60 craftspeople at Dawanda.com toward which the legal action is directed.
"Who shot JW?" ..

They still want you to take anything that looks like a paw print off your goods, but the threat of legal action won't have an immediate "the courts will award us this much, so give us money right now" demand.

Defy their nice requests to "pause" trademark infringement, and they'll sue you.
