I have viacad 7 and would like 8 is there not a upgrade option like in the past? The online store doesn't have that option.

There is still a upgrade option you have to call the main order number 1-800-395-0277 and ask for it. It costs $69.99 not as cheap as the past. Be ready to wait on hold for a while though, once connected the rep was very nice.

Very strange. Upgrading from version 7 costs [COLOR="Red"]more[/COLOR] than upgrading from version 6! :eek:

Seems a bit odd. :confused:

I also want to upgrade but am in the UK and can't afford to hang on the phone waiting to talk to someone at huge cost - and then pay more. :(

Why this strange approach to making existing customers have a hard time? I think we should be told. :rolleyes:

Go to this link and press [COLOR="Navy"]Display Upgrade Options[/COLOR]
It is just above the Buy Now button.
Have your version 7 serial number ready.

You can also try this site,

I have used it 5 days ago and it still worked for me.
I got 30% discount after it diverted me to Punch.
Don't know if it will work for an upgrade, but try anyway. It worked for the Pro version.
