How do I notate two lines of text (dimensioning) (#4203)

Not sure if I worded my question right, but I want to be able to correctly notate drilling specs and often they require two lines of text. For example, for a countersunk hole I'll write the first diameter on top, and then use the A (Text) tool to write below it the rest of the second diameter and CSK angle. So.. is there a way to notate this such that it's all contained in one text block?

You can add a second line to a text string by inserting a \P into the text string. Tim

Curiously, when I opened an exported DXF and DWG file from Shark - in 2 versions R14 & 2007-2009 - the text showed up with the \P tag and became one-line instead of several. I opened them in the latest Draftsight if that makes a difference.
Is this string or tag only useful in Shark? Here's a snap shot of one of them..
Also, ARROWS show up in Draftsight as just lines without arrow-heads. Is there a format that I can export to that will fix this?

Hi misterrodgers
The \P goes back to autocad, I would guess that Draftsight does not support. A test I open in Dwgtrueview program shows the file exported from ViaCAD as 2007 dwg.
The arrow files might be a formatting in draftsight as well. Don't know what arrows you used? Maybe try different arrows?

Jason

Thanks Jason - I don't own a license of Autocad so I can't open it in it. I'll experiment with different arrows though. I guess in this era, one hopes and expects that most applications are 100% compatible amongst one another regardless of maker.
