Does anyone have any great ways to repair a solid? I have been trying to shell this solid with an .090" wall for hours and only get errors. I have tried import/export, rebuilding from surfaces, verifying (no problems) and can't get anywhere.
Thanks in advance,
Art

In my experience .. with fillet rounding applied that is as small or smaller than the required wall thickness .. a fail is guaranteed !

You guys are the best! Thanks so much. It makes total sense that I can't shell because of all the small radii. I just assumed that the interior surface would be square, but I understand why the computer would have problems with this.

Removed many of the convex radii and a small glitch and it shelled at .08" which is good enough for now.

Great .. now if only we could see those log files .. that would point us straight to the offending faces that won't offset correctly !!

Yes, but highlite the offending feature/surface in what color? I think that there should be system defaults, like red for this, and be able to customize this option as needed.

As I remember it, it was the default selection color. But, more importantly, the lines were a thick red. The curious part was that they were also immediately covered up by a non-movable dialog box, so you had to be quick! Pretty silly huh?
