Hi folks,
Can anyone help me out with exporting DWG from C2D? I've imported a DWG into it, but can't export it out again. I work on SketchUp on a Mac and I'm trying to use C2D for dimensioning and annotations. I am also trying with a trial version of CU, but it doesn't work either. The resulting DWG is 0 kb.
BTW, do you know where the symbols are? All I found were some readme.c2d files.

Can you post file or email it to me so I can take a look for you? Are you using SP4 or SP3? You can download the latest build of the software and the symbol library from the following URL:

All the best

Thanks for your help, I'd really like to keep this software, but I ghave to get it working for me.
Website says you don't want to be emailed.
I'm uploading the file. It shows as 4.5 MB on disk, however it is 297 kb on the upload. Why is that?
Thanks for the link to the symbols library. Why isn't that mentioned when one buys the software?
Thanks again.
Marcel

For about a year??? What gives? This software is advertised as compatible with DWG/DXF, have you gotten any answers?
Thanks,
Marcel

Hello Marcel

Can you try compressing the file as .zip and re-upload? I think it's either been damaged by upload or was damaged in the first place as I am unable to select large portions of the drawing although I can see them and they appear as objects in object count.

All the best
Nick

Thank you Nick, here it goes. I think there might be a "selection mask" activated on the previous one.

Hello Marcel

Looks as though there is a compatibility issue between file and dxf/dwg translator. I have forwarded to development team to take a look as this is an issue that also effects the current shark beta.

Best regards
Nick

The SDK we license does not like a layer named "0". It aborts export when it sees this layer name. Change this layer name and it should export. In the next uploaded, we look for this layername and adjust to avoid the sdk limit.

Thank you Tim, that does solve the problem, oddly enough ;-)

The DXF/DWG format has some limits to the layernames. When we find a limit, we internally adjust it to meet the format.
