I am using Viacad 2d 3d v7
I drag the dimensioning tools onto a new drawing and select horizontal dimensioning and a sub palette apears. If I close the tools and reopen it again the sub palett will not open when a suitable tool is selected.
If a open an existing drawing I cannot add the dimensions I want because I cannot get the sub palettes to open.
If I Open the sub palette BEFORE I open and exsiting drawing I can use it OK but once closed it's gone again.
Am I doing something wrong?

Mac or PC?

I think I had it before (on Mac), then I trashed the ViaCad prefs in the User/Library/Preferences folder.

If you click on the little arrow on the top tool bar below the tool icon the sub pallets should open

Don't close the sub pallets manually, just hit select arrow and they will close, then reopen when you select a tool with sub palettes

Thanks Jason, This is what should happen but now it only works if I open the Sub pallette before I start drawing. Once a drawing is started the option disappears. It used to work as it should, something has happened.
