Does anyone know a true tool to reverse meshes to nurbs?
it is a really headache to work with mesh objets imported to Shark, try to port this models to nurbs becomes frustrating, and time consmumpting, other wise, leave the model as meshes produce inaccurate and full of line views (overlapped lines also) on model to sheet (a tool to remove overlapped and duplicated objects will be nice), no mentioning how slow become the software every time you need to change something on the model.
perhaps more free form modeling tools can help to this, just as discussed on this topic:

For Windows, Marcus Bole's PolyCAD,
www.polycad.co.uk . It must be a true "mesh" in the AutoCAD/.dxf sense. That is, a quadrilateral m x n grid surface, not simply a facet or polygon surface. For Mac and Windows, T-splines. T-splines can handle polygon surfaces by interpreting each facet at a surface and edge-blending them, but it can result in a nurb surface that's almost as unwieldy as a mesh. PolyCAD allows powerful control over localised subdivision and rebuilds, more hands-on than T-splines and more transparent. PolyCAD is free, and stand-alone. T-splines only exists inside of Rhino or Solidworks, and of those, Rhino is available on Mac.

you may want try, if cleaning, remeshing, simplifying the meshes with the free MeshLab (intelMac version avail.) enables a better handling of the revamped mesh entities in Shark.

MeshLab doesn't convert to nurbs, but it can be used to turn an irregular polygon surface into a mesh that Polycad will convert.

If you don't like a mesh, you should try to improve your cleanlinesh ! : )

HI Luis,
Can you not bring it into Shark then re-model it piece by piece using sections off the model...whats the shape ?

I can rebuild it, but i will take to much time, and the parts where that I normally face with this issue are libraries that i want to use as reference for space regarding the design I develop, example, a car or motorcycle for a drive up kiosk service, or simple human figure for ergonomics analysis, i use some libraries from sketch up or .obj bought from 3d model suppliers that works fine for renders on cinema or other render software, but, in shark looks awful and excessive line mess on model to sheet drawings.
