Before I take the plunge, I would really like to demo the software since I have gotten burned in the past and was hoping there was a link where I can try before I buy.

Hi Brook,

Sorry, no demo version planned for ViaCAD. You can download Concepts 2D or 3D to get a general idea of the user interface. Also, Punch! offers a 90 day money back on ViaCAD if you decide it doesnt work for you.

Not that my comments are meant to sway you, I just wanted to mention that I've been running ViaCAD for about a week with very little issue.

It's a great solids modeler which works predictably at a price-point which is unreal. This is not a consumer product nor a faulty 'let's blow it out' piece of software but a genuine deal in this day and age of often 'fast to release but fast to crash' tools.

I don't know how they did it, but this modeler is permanently in my tool kit.

Brook .. download Concepts3D. You will get a good understanding from that

If you are using mac platform turbocad 2.0 is the same thing in 2D only. they have a trial version.
