I am running Shark LT and I have the inspector box stuck in the top right hand side of the screen and cannot drag it to a new location. Any suggestions.

Thanks Jim

Change your screen resolution to make everything smaller than you can drag it around. good luck with that!

I don't know what operating system your using but try changing you display to windows 7 basic. I found the default aero scheme problematic with ViaCAD.

I am using Windows 8. In preferences I thinking reverting everything back to default, don't know whether that would make a difference or not.

If you right click on the inspectors title bar is the option collapse to right checked ? If so uncheck it and see if that helps.

I had it collapsing to the top to the right, not collapsing at all. When it is not collapsed I should be able to drag from the title bar to wherever I want correct?

Yeh, on my machine (Viacad Pro 8 - Win7) I can drag the inspector bar where I want even though collapse to top and right is checked.

In my case, when a tool palette is collapsed, if I move it, it rebounds to where it started from. I have to uncollapse, move, and then recollapse. It seems to be the case whether I move the paletted slowly or with the flick of a wrist. If flicking works, it still requires more work to finally get it where I want if it is still collapsed.

I have tried that. It just seems to be off the page. Sometimes when its collapsed I can't see the x to identify where it is, I will then minimize shark and the inspector box will be on my desk top.

I just upgraded to VC Pro 9 on Win 8.1.

I have similar problems. None of the dialog windows will unsnap from the edge of the screen (the right edge in my case). It would be nice if someone from Punch could give some help.

What is the build number? I think some of the earlier releases had this issue but was fixed in a later build. The current build is 1109 which you can get by selecting the Window:Current Version menu item from within the app.

If you are on 1109, please let me know which dialog you are seeing this issue. I just checked a variety of dialog boxes on 1109 on Windows 7.

I've got build 1109.

I was finally able to find a method to unsnap the windows (Snaps, Inspector, Concept Explorer, etc). Using my mouse, I hold left-click on the title bar of the window. Then, I used a quick jerking/shaking motion to pull them from the edge of the display. This was not intuitive at all. Dragging them normally would not work. I used trial and error, but I'm happy to have found a way to unsnap them.
