I run viacad 2d/3d version 5 at home and version 6 at work. My one at work on several occasions my short cut keys quit working. My cap locks are not on. Any ideas?

Yes. My thoughts are maybe its a sticky keyboard. It happens regularly on version 6 at work . I don't think its happened with my version 5 at home

Just yesterday, I spent 2 hours poring over my VCP 7 VCPShortcuts.ini file in:


\users\username\appdata\local\apps\Punch!\ViaCADPro

and found an errant "-" sign in one of the PenColor= entries. That minus sign killed my ability to call up the Pen Colors palette (not the standard windowsy-one that lets you add custom colors, but the one one can call up by shortcut assignment) not matter WHAT shortcut key I assigned. The problem didn't exist in Shark LT, and the only other way in VCP 7 to nix it was to remove the offending file -- painful since it holds many personalization settings.

After about 3 weeks of that I went on the hunt for it -- last night.

So, close VC/VCP/Shark and then hide your good settings to a folder. With NO related files in the and then open your app. The factory version will be a reference to sleuth out what for some wonky reason changed.

I hope this helps, or that it is similar in solution to what you may have found, since your post was 11/30/11.
