Hi all,
Is Viacad V10 push/pull function no longer available on V11. I think its on Pro version for much more money but looks like they took the one good function off V11 that makes Viacad worth the money. Did they realize people like that function then hold it hostage on Pro Version?

... but remember please that we have lost our DEFORM FACE function out of the Push-Pull-menue. It is replaced by a totally different function : Pattern (what ever it is)
The listing of functions shows only the main-function of the menue-point and not its specials.

I MISS MY DEFORM FACE!!!

True! I can't get pattern feature to work. No matter what I do it gives me an error.

Be happy about the pattern feature it is normally only in SharkCAD Pro.

Use it for boring alot of holes in a plate 500x500. Bore just 1 hole in the plate and go to the pattern feature und use the option "linear"
1. insert the right values in the prompt window - for example dx=40 dy=40 dz=0 #x=5 #y=5 #z=1 (# are the number of copys).
2. Pick Face for Pattern to lie upon - The face for the holes.
3. Pick the hole
4. The holes will be made in the plate

I guess a squarehole is impossible for pattern because i am not able to "pick" it.

edit: A squarehole works good, just draw a frame with the mouse to select the hole.

... may be, I don't need it and it can not take place of the eliminated DEFORM FACE.
If it is an additional feature I don't reclaim it. But DEFORM FACE I can not imitate it with any other different function of solid drawing, while the Pattern-feature is only a more comfortable kind of Linear Duplicate.

I have bought an upgrade to a new version and not a downgrade! If I had know, that sucha fundamental function is cut out, I hadn't bought the new version. Not be able to use my PowerPack 10 in version 11 ist hard enough.
