I have a step model that isn't oriented correctly for exporting to cam program for machining. Is there a way to change the X/Y/Z orientation?

Hello Yes you can use the rotate tool to re orient a part. You will need to determine the details by how the model is currently positioned. Regards Jason

Can you elaborate? I have a part which is currently oriented with z as the side rather than z as the top. I need to orient the part so Z is the top (coming out of the screen at me)

Select rotate tool
Select the object
Change drop down to rotate y or rotate x depends on the rotation point you want to use.
Pick a point to rotate about
Change angle to 90 deg. hit enter
Regards
Jason
