Hi, I look incredible Fusion 360 tutorial videos. I'm amazed capabilities of this software. Wondrous communication between the mesh and solid. Is Puchcad software already yesterday? The Fusion's price is also more attractive. For many user even free. Where's the catch? Does anyone use this software(Fusion)?

Hi digitalphaser I have used F360 great software the only issue is that the files are in the cloud and you need internet access The servers have had some down time lately which is frustrating Andrew

I've used it.. its more similar to Inventor with constraints and parts/assemblies, marketed as an all-in-one-tool for design, testing, fabrication. Although Fusion has tremendous marketing power compared to Shark, I find what Shark/VC offers is plenty enough for me. I like that its got a dedicated mac version, but I don't enjoy working off the cloud – which Andrew has stated is necessary to use fusion. I just wish Shark would bring back Constraints, add Parts/Assemblies, continue to add to the absolutely WONDERFUL array of mesh tools its now got, and maybe someday add some Unfolding / Sheetmetal or Packaging design tools.. sure it could be a bit cheaper, but hey development isn't free.

Thank you friends for the information. Of course, development costs money. But there is also a market and competition. I find Shark too expensive. I'm using viaCad. Basically, I lack only a few Shark's functions and more advanced mesh tools. I compensate it partially with external subdiv modeler and powerpack pro. But this way is not very convenient. This flexibility impressed me in Fusion. It's not about the money. I'm happy to invest money in software. I would like to find a more optimal software to me.

May I ask what subD modeler you use? And are you using mac or pc?
Thanks!

>>I use Silo 3D on Win PC. How are Silo's Retopology tools? Are you able to use the retopology tools in conjunction with the SubD to NURB tool with success? Tim

Why not? I rarely used retopology. Silo allows only manual retopology. If mesh is built correctly, then I see no reason for failure. In 3D Coat manual retopology is implemented very similar.
