Hi All, I have a need to work in both inches and cm in ViaCAD. Working in both units has just landed me in trouble. I have created a set of drawings with the units set to inches when they should have been cm. I discovered this when I tried to import a part from an other drawing (which was in cm) into the current drawing and it was much smaller than expected. oops! Clearly I'd rather not spend several hours re-creating the drawing from scratch using the correct units. I am having trouble finding a simple way to change the units to cm, and cause everything to scale down accordingly (current dimensions * .39370079) at the same time. Is there a way to do this? I am using viaCAD9 2d/3d. Appreciate any help I can get! Regards.

I create all drawn in the mm scale and to transfer it to inches it makes no problems, when I switch the used units in the Preferences.
Perhaps it is recommended to work with switched copies.
Testing this, I copied the switched object to a new workplane scaled in inches, it is shown in inches and I could it switch back to mm instandly.

Hi Rusty
Also in addition to what horst suggested
I would try the gripper tool.
I hope the attached makes sense. :-)

Thank you both for your responses. In the end, using the Gripper tool was exactly what I was looking for. Worked perfectly. Thank you MaiFy! :-))
