Cannot create a 3d solid form two 2D objects

I have created two 2D objects. On is a circle and the other is sort of a square. The square exists of a combination of arcs connected by radial lines and fillet connection points (see pic). The objects are on a different Z plane approx 10mm apart. I want to turn these separate 2D objects into single 3D object that flows from a circular shape to the square. I am yet to figure out how to tackle this. Any suggestions welcome.

Hi
Old Dude ,
I thought Skin Solid would do this? It's here on the menu.

Hi Mike, I had tried this option to no avail, i thought, I was in wireframe mode and saw a single line appear between the object. I expected a wire mesh. When I switched to shaded view the magic suddenly appeared to have happend. Thanks a million for your help! Old dude
