a really handy upgrade to the "Arc Tool" for the work I do would be an arc length option: center, start, dialog box for arc length in degrees or current length unit.

a related, but separate, upgrade would be an increase in the "Dimension Tool's" angular resolution to six (6) places to the right of the decimal point from three (3). with the current 6/3 split, arc length uncertainty drives all mixed composition center line lengths. I've found "calculator" (hand held or desktop tool) trigonometric precision is a real crap shoot; single precision, double precision, 16 bit, 32 bit, 64 bit, ......................

just a "back to the top" for a couple of previous suggestions. recently spent several days incorporating a set of new requirements that didn't map well into the baseline geometry. as a consequence got to do way too much calculator work computing associated chord lengths for the new arc lengths that were needed. the calculator application isn't RPN AND doesn't speak degrees (ie: everything had to be converted to radians) so it was effectively a double dose..............

an indigenous RPN calculator tool (think HP 15) would preclude having to use other applications or non-scientific calculators for projects in Shark FX 9. or Powerpack addition....

Hi Art

>>a really handy upgrade to the "Arc Tool" for the work I do would be an arc length option:

Yes good idea, will look into!

As a work around you could use the tip below which uses the data entry field. If you type PI into a data entry field, it will fill with ~8 decimals of PI.
