Rounding causes poly to disappear

Created a square using the polygon tool. Use revolve 360 degrees to form a ring with 4 sides. Attempted to round the outside edge -- rounding the edge caused some polygons on the rounded edge to disappear. I thought this was a display error but when I export to OBJ the polys are not there. They could be getting flipped on the rounding attempt. I could undo set a higher (looser) bevel and the rounded edge would show. If I then change the round to a smaller number, the missing polys came back.

It might be a faceting issue. Try changing the resolution (Edit: Change Resolution) of the lathed solid to include Precision. This will refacetted the solid using different settings.
If that is not the issue can you post the lathed solid?
