On the same project, some parts are exported in inches, others in mm. The SLA supplier usually does the scale changes because he knows how big a cosmetic product should be. Though, last week I received microscopic perfume caps. It's good to know that SLA resolution is getting better. Note : I never used inches in my life, except for motorbikes tires sizes...

Thank you Murray, that's exactly the case.
Though, I still don't understand why on the same batch some files are detected in mm and others in inches...
When I upload my files to a site with automatic sla treatment, like Sculpteo, I get the same wrong unit selection...

ViaCAD Pro v10 and will only export inches and feet which makes it extremely difficult to import into other programs as will get the inches measurement in a mm slot and completely requires reworking the model. Not good as that is non billable time on client projects. Michael

HI Michael I just did some checks and it seems ok. I exported a MM file from ViaCAD and imported into NetFabb. With V10, STL export now includes a drop down for unit type. Can you confirm your dropdown is MM? I believe by default it will be INCH. Tim

I work exclusively in mm and it works ok for me. Harvey
