How do I use offset at distance??

Thanks: 1 times
I am making A Wavy pattern and am trying to offset the "S" Pattern. The only problem I am having is that when hit the offsets by distance button, it asks me to select the curves that I want to offset , so I select my "S" Pattern and it turns red. Then ViadCad asks me to select which side I want the offset to be placed. This is where I am having the problem, because when I click my mouse on either above or below the "S" pattern and it just unselects my "S" pattern and asks me to select the curves that I want to offset. So I have no idea how to select which side of the "S" pattern to place the next offset copy. Am I supposed to copy my first "S" curver and paste? I have no idea?

What is your distance set at? It might be offsetting a distance that is not visible on your screen. Do a "ZOOM ALL ",after you offset, and see if that is happening.
