Viacad just crashed on me and I realized that there was no safety copies and I had to start almost from scratch...

again, coming from Vectorworks, it is something I miss quite a bit. And I was surprised to see that VIAcad isn't able to do this. Either the way OSX does it in e.g. pages. Or at least something like in Vectorworks 2011, where I can set to save, say every 5 or 10 minutes and how many copies are kept.

would be nice if you could consider this for a future release

Look under file -> preferences and try the auto save. Can also access by rt clicking on the viacad 2d/3d image on the top of the main tool bar.

I'm using "ViaCAD Pro V9 DE" build 1110 from the Apple app store, and the feature is missing in my (german ) preferences... :-(
I wonder if I should ask for a refund and buy the "direct from encore/punchcad Version" ?

the latest beta build 1142 now has autosave for me !

and I got a copy from Encore now... english and "un-Apple-stored" ;-)
