I've just downloaded a copy of SharkFX 8 as a potential replacement for Cobalt and have encountered a potential problem:
When making a MTS view of a part and specifying various line weights etc. everything works as expected.
When I "change view" and add perspective, even though the image appears to render all the lines in the right places, the line weights are all the same. Is there any way to work around this so I can have editable perspective images with thicker outlines?
(First image has thicker outlines but no perspective, second has perspective but no thicker outlines!)

hello,
Welcome to Shark.
I too have known long ago, Cobalt.
for your problems: developers are trying to correct problems with the function: "model to sheet" and its many bug Interpretation custom lines. I hope you will not regret your way to Shark-Cobalt :)
patience then.

This appears to be fixed in build 1010.

That's good news. Is there a D/L of build 1010 I can try some of my files on before I commit to buy a copy, or can I upload/send some files for you to try?
(the evaluation build I have is 1003)

I have someone trying it out to confirm it's fixed. If you would like to confirm the fix as well, send me an email at [email protected] and I'll send you a pre release build.

Thanks, I got the 1010 build Ok.
I tried the same model again, and while the line weights seem to "stick" when perspective is applied, I have now lost control over exactly how the lines are rendered!
For example, I have set the Draw View properties to give me Visible and Tangent lines in "thin" and Outline in "thick", with all other lines set to "ignore"
What I get is that some outlines are thick, some thin, and most of the tangents appear to reder as "phantom"...
