There he was .. modelling along, minding his own business ..

.. BUT THEN ... TRAGICALLY, perspective went BAAAD !

Anybody got a workaround to the 1999 perspective bug ..

You know the one - where your model zooms to 1000 yards away when perspective is on and no amount of fiddling will fix it ?

Piggybacking onto jol's post, I too experience this bugaboo more than once a day. Have you also seen where the perspective view, in the shade mode, is so messed up (can't even make out the forms, edges, etc.) that you have to change to the wire frame view just to see what's what? Odd.

This should be on the list of highest priority items to get fixed. How long do we have to live with this know and often reported bug ? Another eight or nine years ?

Punch! and Tim really needs to make this a priority.

Bonjour,

Je m'occupe de l'enseignement de la CAO pour des designers industriels ainsi que pour des architectes civils et d'int©rieur.

Shark est trs bien adapt© la profession du designer mais est moins apte r©pondre aux besoins des architectes.
Notamment du fait que Shark ne permet pas de voir " travers des murs" comme tout bon logiciel d'architecture qui se respecte.

L'astuce jusqu' pr©sent ©tait d'enlever le mur ct© point de vue pour voir l'int©rieur de son espace architectural. Fastidieux et pas du tout pratique.

L'autre problme r©side dans l'ergonomie des r©glages perspectifs de la scne qui ne sont pas ais©s tels que propos©s dans l'interface de la palette perspective, propri©t©s vues.

Etant utilisateur d'un logiciel d'architecture, je peux vous apporter ma modeste contribution pour une ©ventuelle remise en question de l'ergonomie des ces dits r©glages.
Pour commencer: mon avis, une image vaut mille mots.... donc une palette de r©glages beaucoup plus intuitive et visuelle, voir fichier joint.

la proc©dure de r©glage que l'on rencontre souvent dans ces logiciels d©di©s est:

1. se mettre en vue de dessus.
2. tracer une ligne du d©part du "point de vue utilisateur" jusqu' celui du "point de vis©e".
3. ce moment une palette de r©glage s'affiche, ex:fichier joint.
4. le concepteur n'a plus qu' remplir les champs "hauteur du point de vue", "hauteur du point de vis©e", "focale", ©ventuellement: "options contraindre les verticales" pour ©viter les d©fauts de parallaxes.

Voil. ;)

Petite pr©cision: avec cet exemple je ne cherche pas "entrer" dans un modle solide plein, mais bien dans un modle type architectural, donc l'int©rieur d'un espace dessin© et libre physiquement.

There are several particularly long standing issues on this subject

Nope - FX7 comes and goes and it's still poked !

I won't hold my breath for FX8
