Export smooth spline/curves to DXF/DWG (#2931)

I have a series of spirals in a 2D Shark drawing I want to export out as a DXF or DWG. When I import it in various CAD Apps. it seems to be splitting it up into a series of segments, the curve approximation is TOO large. How can I export this so the my cad app reads a smoother segment (if I cannot get a series of arcs)?

Well I exported the file out from Shark as an EPS and opened it in Illustrator. Illustrator read the splines correctly, and then I exported the file out from Illustrator to DXF. My cad App ( in this case ArchiCAD) opened the illustrator dxf fine and read splines in. Why is this not possible directly from shark to CAD app? What is Illustrator able to export in the DXF that is not in SHark/ViaCAD? Norbert

Which release of dxf are you using for export? I don't think the early versions can export splines. Martin.

Martin, That was it! I was using the default that Shark was selecting on export. Works fine using a newer export release. Thanks! Norbert
