Fact export to EIAS problem (#194)

When I export a mesh as a 'fact' from viaCad into Electric Image it renders correctly, but appears to be lit from the wrong direction in the camera window. It appears correctly shaded in the 4 views. Any ideas? Martin K

Martin, does the appearance change if you switch from the Hardware/OpenGL engine to Software ("blue ball"/shading menu at the lower left side of the camera window)? Bernd

Sounds like it could be reversed normals to me. Try reversing the normals (Shading tab) in EI or run the FAC through Transporter or import your object and select Force Normals.

Bernd, the 'software' engine shades it correctly in camera window. Joev, reversing the normals has no effect on the shaded view, it effects the shaded wire view, but still renders correctly.

Could probably be caused by the graphic card driver. Maybe updating this one helps.

Yes, I'm sure it is, but I can get by without a fully shaded camera window.
